Download Walnut / Nutshell
Download Walnut/Nutshell as 1 self-extracting and installing
.exe file:
Nutshell
1.0.255 - unstable release (current)
(source code)
Nutshell
1.0.256 - stable release (recommended, not available yet)
|
web download
If your browser does not support downloading with the ftp
protocol, you can also get the current Nutshell release with a web or
http
download.
floppy download
If you want to put the self-extracting Nutshell installer on floppies
(and not download it as one big .exe file), e.g. for easy transport,
please put the following files on two (2) empty and formatted floppies:
- nutshell-1.0.255.exe
(<< start to install Nutshell)
(31 Kb - 31.625 bytes)
nutshell-1.0.255.zip
(1.36 Mb - 1.425.920 bytes)
- nutshell-1.0.255.zip
(994 Kb - 1.017.472 bytes)
To install, start nutshell-1.0.255.exe from floppy #1.
If there are problems with the floppy label, choose Ignore
(perhaps 3 times or so): the installation will continue.
To install the binary, self-extracting and installing, Nutshell
release (either downloaded as one big contiguous .exe file, or
as "spanned" archive/installer), simply start the
nutshell-nnn.exe file (nnn is the version).
There are, however, the following requirements for certain
versions of Microsoft Windows:
- Windows 95
- Windows NT (4.0)
- Windows 2000
- Install as Administrator or
Standard User (=default user).
- Use as any user except a Restricted User.
These versions of Microsoft Windows do not have special requirements:
- Windows 98 (all editions)
- Windows Me (Millenium Edition)
For precise installation details (including notes about
other Microsoft operating systems) or more information on
how to build up Nutshell from the source ("from scratch"),
please refer to the
Walnut/Nutshell README.
The Walnut library and components are not available yet
for separate download.
Development releases (bleeding edge)
If you want to stay on the "bleeding edge", you can also download
the current development Nutshell release version that has been
extracted straight from the developers' CVS repository and may not
even compile.
These
bleeding
edge tarball snapshots are extracted weekly.
Finally, if you really want to be on top of things, you can browse
through the CVS tree, which is extracted daily from the repository
(at midnight: UTC+01), but is not tarred and gzipped/bzip2-ed
like the weekly bleeding edge tarballs:
CVS source tree,
extracted daily.
Old releases
Older
versions are also still available of stable, unstable and
development releases.
Browse the neuroMod FTP archive
You can directly browse the
neuroMod FTP archive.
However, please be advised that information on that server
(in the form of readme files) is limited. The easiest way to
navigate on the ftp server is via this download (web) page.
