Empirically: photon echo exp.

So we are preparing now an experiment where this technique is used on the human retina in vivo. There aremany hurdles to be taken. The echo is extremely weak and buried in noise due to reflections from the eyeball and the detector is so sensitive that those reflections will result in soem dead time. However by using extrem fast optical shutters we think that we can overcome these technical problems.
In the first experiment which we hope can be run this summer we will try to measure echo times in the order of some microseconds.
